Suffering with an anxiety disorder means that you’re probably aware of the tell-tale signs of an attack. These symptoms often manifest themselves as stomach cramps, nausea, a lack of appetite, eating too much or experiencing diarrhoea. You may loose weight, or you may gain weight due to your anxiety issues going unchecked. If you’re already suffering from IBS or other digestive problems then your anxiety could create a domino effect, where your anxiety make these problems worse and then in turn weaken your immune system. 

Your self esteem

Anxiety has a nasty way of encouraging the voice of doubt that we often hear on a daily basis. Regardless of which anxiety disorder you’re suffering with, when anxiety creeps in it has the ability to completely destroy your self-esteem, leaving you emotionally exhausted and drained. You doubt yourself and your abilities, turn away opportunities and don’t act upon your great ideas or dreams.

Not in all cases, but there are some victims of anxiety who not only have to deal with mental frustrations and fear on a daily basis, but also bad skin. When we suffer an attack, our stress levels rise, which in turn creates a surge in hormones which can increase the levels of oil in your skin. Acne and other skin problems usually follow.  If you currently have a skin condition such as rosacea, or eczema, then anxiety and stress can make them worse, making it a vicious circle.
